NOTE: Hiring for SUMMER & FALL positions. Starting August 4 through December 18. Student employees hired for the Summer will have the opportunity to continue working through the Fall semester starting August 25 through December 18.

The Building Manager position will report to the Operations Manager. The Building Manager is responsible for ensuring that the daily operations of Krach Leadership Center (KRCH) run smoothly. The Building Manager is responsible for the evening and weekend general operation of the KRCH. Building Managers must be aware of their responsibilities, confident of their abilities, and committed to maintaining a high level of performance on the job. The primary function of the Building Manager is to provide customer service functions while maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all students, faculty, staff, and invited guests.

  • Provide building security needs which includes walking through the building to lock and unlock scheduled facilities

  • Verify proper setups in conference facilities

  • Check various spaces such as entrances, corridors, lounges, and restrooms to make sure they are clean and in appropriate condition

  • Wipe down all conference tables/seating, and work stations

  • Responsible for handling emergency situations and disturbances within KRCH. If situations arise beyond the scope of control, contact the Purdue Police for intervention.  Emergency is 911, otherwise call 494-8221

  • Assist other KRCH staff in any emergency evacuation procedures as needed

  • Student Building Manager supports KRCH guest experience by providing wayfinding and day of student meeting reservations

  • Assist KRCH Operations Manager in meeting space reservations via the current event management scheduling system

  • Keep a log of building activity such as accidents, disturbances, complaints, and any requested services

  • Fill out all University forms for any accidents

  • Provide information and directions to building patrons
