The Srinivasarao Laboratory at the Purdue Institute for Drug Discovery is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to support innovative therapeutic research programs. This position is ideal for someone with experience in animal studies who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced research environment.

In this role, you will execute murine models and perform complex laboratory procedures that support preclinical testing efforts across ongoing drug discovery and development projects. You will work closely with researchers and scientists to generate high-quality data that advances promising therapeutic candidates toward clinical application.

  • Maintain accurate experimental records and ensure compliance with research protocols

What We're Looking For

Education and Experience Required:

  • B.S. in Biology, Animal Science, Pharmacology, or a related field is required
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in:
    • Tumor/fibrosis/inflammatory animal models
    • Techniques such as ELISA, Flow Cytometry, ADCC, and Wester Blots

 

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple injection routes (specifically IV)

 

Preferred:

  • Strong understanding of animal welfare regulations and sterile surgical techniques
