This is a limited duration position with an expiration date of 2028. Continuation is dependent upon additional grant funding.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Engage in individual and team-based equipment fabrication, testing, and research projects
- Designing and develop hardware and software equipment
- Plan and execute a work plan based on project objectives, deliverables, and timelines

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- Technician diploma or similar two-year college STEM degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hands-on mechanical and electrical technician work
- Facility maintenance and safety
- Experience in using computers and data management (e.g., gathering, logging, and use)
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication, such as documentation, use of computers, and data sharing
Skills needed:
- Learning new subjects, problem-solving, critical thinking, and work-planning abilities
- Practical communication skills, including technical writing and presentations
- Strong attention to safety, the urgency of time and actions, and professionalism in the workplace
Nice to have:
- Some exposure and experience with research laboratories
- Experience in working with research projects
