This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the library through a variety of essential functions. Key duties include coordinating and communicating schedules for learning, meeting, and study spaces; providing basic instruction to patrons on reference sources, equipment, and library information systems; and ensuring clear communication and implementation of library policies and procedures. The role also involves assisting in the creation and maintenance of LibGuides, developing library displays and signage, monitoring inventory and ordering supplies, and representing the library on committees and councils. Additional responsibilities include maintaining organized shelves to support easy access to the collection, managing opening and closing procedures, and performing other duties as assigned to support an efficient and welcoming library environment.
The hourly rate for this position is $15.00 to $19.00 per hour.

What We Are Looking For :
Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- HS Diploma/GED
- Three (3) years library or public service experience required.
Skills needed:
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a diverse community.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for working with students, staff, and faculty.
- Willingness to learn about and use digital technologies and software.
- Ability to work in a self-motivated way, independently and collaboratively with others.
What is helpful:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
