Recruitment & Outreach Manager

Job Summary


This position is based in New Albany, IN within the Louisville, KY metro area. The Purdue Polytechnic Institute New Albany’s Recruitment & Outreach manager recruits a diverse student body and develops impactful community and industry relationships. This position is expected to establish and meet annual recruitment goals by developing key relationships with industry-related businesses, community organizations, and higher education institutions, organizing recruitment events, making presentations to groups, etc. Develops and manages a recruitment plan that will include outreach, recruiting and yielding under-represented, local, rural students for undergraduate and graduate programs, partnerships, and pathways offered by Purdue Polytechnic Institute New Albany. Collaborates with the Site Director and the Marketing and Communications team, conceptualizes and designs presentations and materials for future students and their families to be presented at College events and Purdue Admissions programs. Develops, coordinates, and implements various events, activities and presentations to recruit and yield new first-time freshmen, transfer, and adult students interested in exploring the academic and career options for students in the technology fields. Implements recruiting plans and strategies, achieves admissions goals and implements yield strategies (co-developed with the Purdue Polytechnic Institute Recruitment & Outreach Team). Serves as a resource for prospective students and their families. Meets with industry to build relationships, internships, capstone projects, and partnerships. Cultivates community connections by attending community events as a representative of Purdue Polytechnic Institute. Engages the local alumni network. This position requires participation at evening and weekend off campus events, as well as evening and weekend work hours.


Required:

  • Bachelor Degree (preferably business, communications, marketing, engineering, or technology)
  • 3 or more years of experience (preferably in an academic setting or sales environment)
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
