Job Summary

The Online Student Solutions Analyst at Purdue University Online (PUO) plays a pivotal role in optimizing student support systems and vended platforms to enhance the overall student experience. Reporting to the Director of Student Experience, this position is responsible for conducting comprehensive needs assessments, evaluating existing systems, managing vendor contracts and performance, developing reporting and documentation, and coordinating implementation of new solutions to address emerging needs and opportunities within PUO's student experience ecosystem. Develop manuals, guides, templates, trackers, infographics, and videos to train users in recruitment and enrollment systems and enhance university effectiveness

 

In this role, you’ll contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration, where technology serves as an enabler of student experience and student success. You’ll help drive the integration of technology and tools to elevate student experience initiatives by understanding the needs of both online learners and student experience staff. You’ll conduct needs assessments and evaluations with stakeholders, coordinate and assess existing and emerging tools and technologies, and make recommendations for solutions that support organizational goals and continuous improvements. Additionally, you’ll participate in the procurement process, build documentation and implementation plans, help ensure consistent adoption and utilization, and make suggestions for optimizing usage to maximize impact. Additionally, you'll establish processes for data monitoring and reporting, providing insights into the effectiveness of these tools and informing future decisions. 

 

A significant focus of the role will be on supporting CRM-related initiatives, especially involving Salesforce and Slate (as well as BoilerConnect and Premise). Collaborating closely with key stakeholders such as the Manager of Recruiting and Engagement, the Senior Manager for Yield, and the PUO Salesforce team, you'll support the integration of tools and technologies critical to enhancing student acquisition efforts. With active involvement in Salesforce's agile development process, you’ll collaborate to ensure the appropriate prioritization of integrations, enhancements, and reporting tools crucial for the success of yielding initiatives. Finally, your role will involve identifying and proposing solutions to bridge any gaps arising from utilizing multiple CRM systems, ultimately aiming for a cohesive and efficient student experience.

 

This is a remote position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple technology and CRM projects, ensuring successful execution within established timelines and resource (staff, time, budget) constraints. Engage stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize needs. Inform customization of technology and CRM systems to align with specific business objectives and coordinate and implement university systems, processes, procedures, and policies. Oversee data management efforts, including migration and integration, to maintain accuracy and accessibility of information. Implement user testing protocols to ensure system reliability. Establish performance monitoring mechanisms and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize technology and CRM functionality and maximize return on investment. 
  • Document and process map each phase of the student lifecycle, audit processes for compliance, and assess the compatibility of various systems (such as Salesforce as our CRM, SIS, BoilerConnect, Slate graduate admission system, and other tools including the event registration platform) in supporting our admissions, enrollment, engagement, and retention initiatives. Engage with stakeholders to strategize functionality and integration, evaluating the utilization of all systems to enhance business processes and outcomes. Collaborate closely with CRM teams and IT partners to integrate feedback and address strategy needs, thereby improving the productivity and efficiency of the organization to consistently surpass enrollment and service goals each semester.
  • Develop manuals, guides, templates, trackers, infographics, and videos to train users in recruitment and enrollment systems and enhance university effectiveness. Serve as the subject matter expert and product owner of training and user implementation.
  • Coordinate, identify, evaluate, recommend, implement, and assess existing and emerging tools and technologies, and make recommendations for solutions that support organizational goals and continuous improvements Provide insights on best practices, understand new technology solutions and ideas to continuously improve processes and contribute to a culture of innovation. Support exploration, development, and implementation of chat, text, chatbot, AI, and other scalable tools. Collaborate with external vendors and consultants as necessary, implementing effective vendor management strategies to evaluate and enhance project performance for optimal success.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and 4-5 years of experience in higher education, delivering training materials, and providing direct user support required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • The successful candidate will have the ability to effectively work on difficult tasks both independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team; possess strong problem-solving skills; enthusiastically learn new skills and technologies; handle multiple priorities with close attention to detail; and possess excellent oral and written communication skills allowing interaction with both technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups, such as executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. User experience in Salesforce.
