Job Summary
The Master’s Program Manager administers and coordinates master’s programs within the Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and the related Purdue Online MS programs. This position interfaces directly with both existing and prospective MS students as well as faculty, staff, and campus partners to ensure students have the information needed to successfully complete their studies in ECE and in related Purdue Online programs.

What You'll Be Doing:
• Serve as a primary resource person to faculty and students regarding all aspects of the ECE MS and related Purdue Online MS programs.
• Support faculty in their interactions with master’s students, including meeting the needs of online students.
• Implement new programs; communicate policies and procedures to faculty, staff, and students.
• Advise online, West Lafayette, and Indianapolis residential MSECE and MSSWE students and other related programs, providing guidance on course selection, plans of study, degree progress, and other academic concerns.
• Advise ECE, SWE, and related Purdue 4+1 students while undergraduates and students in collaborative ECE programs with other institutions; collaborate and coordinate with ECE undergraduate advisors, Purdue Online staff, and personnel from partner institutions.
- Manage student records in Banner, GRM, and other systems to ensure that student information is accurate and updated as needed.
- Support schedule deputy and ECE associate head of teaching and learning with development of ECE graduate course schedules.
• Interface with campus partners, including Registrar, OSGPS, etc. to resolve student issues
• Monitor students' academic progress and serve as the program registration official, including maintaining student records and ensuring confidentiality of data.
• Routinely communicate events, deadlines, policies, etc. to ECE and related MS students. Keep program documents and websites current and develop new webpages as needed.
• Coordinate communications strategies for recruiting prospective students. Contribute to the development of strategies for achieving program growth goals, including the planning and execution of graduate recruitment and admissions events.
• Participate and organize committees related to ECE graduate programs.
• Conduct in-person and virtual information and recruiting sessions for existing and prospective students (plans of study, program informational sessions, 4+1, etc.).
• Collaborate with faculty to manage admissions cycles for residential and/or online programs.

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two (2) years of experience in higher education, recruitment, performance management, training and development, or another related field
Skills needed:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook; with the ability to design, develop, and manipulate tables and charts
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), with the ability to influence and build work relationships in a dynamic team environment.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in analyzing and resolving confidential and sensitive situations with minimal supervision.
- Ability to grasp knowledge of policies and procedures related to different aspects of student services.
- Sensitivity to cultural, political, and geographical differences, with the ability to work well with a diverse student body.
- Ability to work independently, handle interruptions and manage multiple and varied tasks with frequent interruptions Ability to take initiative to solve unique complex problems and perform with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Nice to Have:
- Master’s degree in Management, Administration, Communications, Education, or Engineering Experience with recruiting, mentoring and advising students.
- Experience with graduate program administration or working with graduate students.
- Knowledge of academic environment and previous university experience.
