Senior Brand Marketing Strategist

Job Summary

We’re looking for a passionate brand marketer to join our team! The Senior Brand Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive and coordinated marketing tactics and communication plans in alignment with Purdue University’s master brand to increase awareness and lead generation for Purdue University’s top-ranked innovative online programs. As our brand manager and member of our social media and public relations team, you will develop brand awareness campaigns, review branded materials for partners, support outreach to existing students and alumni on messaging for Purdue University Online, and monitor and report on campaign performance. In addition to leading our branding efforts, as a senior strategist, you will serve as an account manager for selected degree and nondegree programs with individual marketing campaigns.  Working together with our digital strategy, communications and recruiting teams, you will define marketing strategies to drive leads that lead to enrollments for these designated Purdue University Online programs.

This position will be hired as fully remote. 

What We’re Looking For:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Four years previous experience in one or more of the following: brand management, strategic planning, administering and executing a marketing/communications plan, and working with or in a marketing agency to maximize recruitment efforts 


What is helpful (Preferred): 

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, or closely related field
  • Experience with:
    • Google, Meta, LinkedIn and other digital platforms
    • working within a CRM (Salesforce a plus)
    • working in a marketing and communication function within a university setting

Skills Needed:

  • Knowledge and interest in higher education with a focus on online learning specific to new student recruitment Planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management skills
  • Good written and oral communications skill 
  • Ability to follow guidelines, structure and established policy while working with others
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, often under tight deadlines
  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and possess top level business management, interpersonal, presentation and facilitation
