Job Summary

The Research Administrative Coordinator for PI4D (Purdue Institute of Inflammation, Immunology, and Infectious Disease) and the Indiana CTSI (Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute) will work closely with the Administrative teams to satisfy the mission of both institutes and forge bridges to connect them.  The incumbent will facilitate and assist in coordination of grant review sessions; core facility accreditations; investigator team development through interactive event planning; help with communication efforts through electronic resources including some website new management; interact with internal and external parties to help facilitate the international visiting scholar's program.  Coordination of research operations including common use facilities, instrumentation and personnel.  The position helps the administration of both institutes assemble data, prepare, edit and aid in submission of proposals and reports.  Manage production/printing and distribution of materials.  Coordinate meetings, conferences, and itineraries for staff.  Assist leadership team when requested, for Institute activities.  The role demands technological proficiency and an ability to proactively enhance administrative and operational functions.  The incumbent will be expected to work with the team to help manage digital content including social media posts and video content for platforms such as YouTube, develop and implement surveys, and employ advanced digital tools for event planning and communications.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Organizational Leadership, Communication, Information Technology or related
  • Four or more years of experience in an administrative role with a strong focus on technology and digital tools
  • Experience in event planning, digital content creation, and social media management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), using and administering collaboration tools like Teams and Zoom
  • Experience setting up and managing digital content and communication platforms
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication, including editing and organizational skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to deal with budgets/spreadsheets
