Job Summary

 

The successful candidate will assist the professor and lab members with ongoing research activities. This position is responsible for maintaining a large mouse colony, including weaning, genotyping, and record keeping. Additional duties include supporting mouse experiments through procedures, health monitoring, and necropsy, as well as assisting in the evaluation of experimental results using techniques such as qPCR, western blotting, and tissue staining and image analysis.

What We Are Looking For :

 

Education and Experience

Qualified candidates will need:

  • BS degree
  • A minimum of 0.5 years of experience in the areas of biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology or a related field.


Skills needed:

  • Prior experience with rodents is required, with a preference for applicants with mouse experience specifically.
  • Ability to conduct independent research with clear instruction.
  • Experience with basic molecular techniques like DNA extraction, PCR or cell culture.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and attention to detail.
