Job Summary

The Sales Research Project Manager will be responsible for administration of the Salesforce CRM including updating, improving, and training others on best practices.  Conduct analysis on a variety of sales research trends and data and use those results to drive new sales tactics and projects designed to generate new sales.  Frequently work in conjunction with leadership, sales, and marketing to optimize client opportunities.  Manage and execute lead generation in Salesforce.  Research and assess market potential of current and prospective client bases.  Create prospect lists and initiate calls.  Strict adherence to Purdue confidentiality policies is required.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Marketing, Selling and Sales Management, Business Management, or a related field
  • Four or more years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, customer services or sales support
  • Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of required education and related work experience
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM along with ability to translate large volumes of customer data into new business opportunities
  • Direct experience working with and supporting sales and account management
  • Ability to manage several long and short-term projects
  • Tenacious about data management and updating in CRMs, web, customer research, etc.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette for prospecting new and existing clientele to help generate sales
  • Understanding of how to conduct research and access data needed to provide reliable information about business
  • Full command of all Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Effective communication capabilities including verbal and compositional skills with exceptional customer service orientation
  • Ability to be creative and contribute to serve effectively within the Marketing Team
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills for selling services through various event formats
