About Our Opportunity:

As the Shelter Veterinarian & Medical Director, your daily responsibilities will include medical examinations, care, and monitoring of domestic animals in the HS4GL and in foster care.  Duties also include working with and providing feedback on professional veterinary/veterinary nursing students as well as interns and residents.  Clinical responsibilities include the diagnosis and treatment of companion animal with assistance from other veterinarians at Purdue University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
 

What We’re Looking For:
Required:

• Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from an AVMA accredited Program.
• Experience in veterinary practices.
• Ability to independently work in stressful and emergency situations.  
• Strong oral and written communication skills.  
• Effective interpersonal skills, ability to read and write English.  

 
Preferred:

• Experience working in Shelter Medicine field.
• Experience with electronic medical records and MS applications
