What We’re Looking For:
Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- AAS in Veterinary Technology from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology Program
- Two years in a University Veterinary Teaching Hospital or Veterinary Specialty Hospital as a credentialed veterinary technician
- Must become RVT in Indiana within 12 months of hire
- May consider 10 years in a veterinary General Practice
Skills Needed:
- Able to listen to and follow both verbal and written directions
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills with the ability to read and write in English
- Must possess knowledge level enough to explain and demonstrate routine veterinary medical concepts and procedures to aid in the instruction of veterinary students and veterinary technology students
- Must complete Purdue Veterinary Technician Basic Skills List prior to promotion to Senior Veterinary Technician
