Job Title:  Staff Registered Nurse
Job Description: 

Job Summary

Greet patients upon arrival at provider’s office, prepare them for consultation, assess status, and respond to emergency situations. Assist provider with procedures, administer medications, collect/handle specimens, and apply durable medical equipment. Utilize patient teaching, referrals, and follow-up as appropriate. Document accurately all procedures, diagnoses, and interventions in electronic health record (EHR). Participate in nursing staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

What We Are Looking For

 

Education and Experience:
Required:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school 
  • Active and unencumbered Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience 
  • Experience with EHR systems 
     

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of nursing experience

  • Must have knowledge of disease processes and normal growth and development of all age groups
  • Must operate with cultural sensitivity and interact professionally with diverse racial, ethnic, economic and social backgrounds
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Ability to assess patient status and respond to emergencies appropriately 
  • Thorough knowledge of scientific principles of nursing theory and practice
  • Strong communication skills, including patient teaching
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to complete duties in a timely manner
  • Must have computer and data entry skills
