Job Summary
The Office of International Programs in Agriculture (IPIA) is seeking an undergraduate intern to assist with international program development and implementation. In general, the intern will assist in conducting desk research in multidisciplinary technical areas related to agriculture, entrepreneurship/agribusiness and international development to support the formulation of new funding proposals, assist with monitoring, evaluation and reporting, and capacity building partners primarily in lower- and middle- income countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia. More specifically, the intern will communicate with Purdue’s Mandela Washington Fellows and assist in the construction of business profiles along the agricultural supply chain in Sub-Sahara African countries.
Scheduling is flexible, however, availability during the summer is required. This is an opportunity to advance your skills and knowledge, as well as connect with the wider international development community.
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, WhatsApp, Database management, Internet Search Engines and AI
Strong verbal / written communication skills
Initiative and follow through
Helping others & collaboration
Ability to work in a team and work independently as needed
Strong reflection & analytical reasoning
