Job Summary

The Student Experience Coordinator provides high-level administrative support for business processes and plays a pivotal role as a seasoned individual contributor working independently under limited supervision, who will enhance the overall experience of students engaging with Career Services. This position is responsible for scheduling work shifts for student career assistants, assisting with events and programming, routing emails and phone calls from students and families, and coordinating presenters for student organizations and faculty classrooms on career-related topics.  A high level of professionalism and excellent communication skills will be paramount for success in this role.

This position will be an August – May position or 30 hours a week.

What We’re Looking For:

Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:                                                                                                       

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Four (4) years of experience in a customer service-related or administrative support role.  

 

Skills:

  • Must possess excellent verbal communication skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively engage with student and employer constituencies and interact with wide-ranging populations.
  • Must be able to balance varied tasks, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information with discretion. 
  • Excellent time management skills. 
  • Ability to represent Career Services and Purdue University well to internal and external contacts.
