Job Summary

The VSAC (Veterinary Skills and Competencies)/CSL (Clinical Skills Lab) student worker will assist with lab prep and cleanup, model maintenance, and inventory maintenance. This role ensures a safe, well-equipped training space for DVM and Veterinary Technician students. Key Responsibilities • Lab setup: Early mornings and some evening/after hours • Clean instruments and other supplies following labs • Gather lab supplies and fill carts based on lab needs; including equipment, inventory supplies, instructional materials, etc. • Clean and charge technology items such as iPads and Butterfly ultrasounds • Stock supplies and report low inventory to supervisor • Clean and prepare models; identify necessary repairs and report to supervisor • Other duties may be determined as assigned Qualifications & Requirements • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student available to work 10–20 hours per week. • Must be eligible to work in the United States. • Must be comfortable working in an environment where animals may be encountered in the hallways or in offices (Lynn Hall). • Must complete all required Purdue University privacy and confidentiality certifications within the first week of employment. Skills & Competencies Required: • Verbal and written communication skills. • Initiative to work independently. • Hours: 10–20 hours per week (must be worked on-site in Lynn Hall) • Reports To: VSAC Manager and CSL Coordinator • Position Term: Responsibilities and funding needs for this position will be re-evaluated at the end of the Spring 2027 term How to Apply To be considered for this position, applicants must include a resume.
