Job Summary
The Eli Lilly and Company and Purdue University Research Alliance Center (LPRC) is committed to providing out of the classroom professional development opportunities to students across Purdue's West Lafayette and Indianapolis campuses through a variety of student engagement programs. This position will support the different activities throughout the semester, help coordinate logistics, communicate with all relevant partners, and participate in planning events for future opportunities. To accommodate student schedules, coordination and participation in periodic evening events and occasional full day events are required. This position is hybrid with a minimum of two days on campus per week.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate activities for students including planning the activity, communicating the opportunity to the key audience, order necessary supplies, develop materials as appropriate, and host the activity on the day of. This will include working with others partners/units on campus for programmatic alignment.
- Assist in the management of students engaged in the program, including tracking their on/off-boarding statuses, participation in events, compliance with program engagement, etc.
- In collaboration with the Academic-Industry Talent Liaison, Lead, plan all activities per semester to ensure sufficient number and variety of opportunities to meet programmatic needs.
- Assist in the development of periodic reports and deliverable tracking per funding requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree
- Two or more years of experience in the education, student engagement or talent development fields in an academic or industry environment
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills, capable of handling multiple projects and be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Ability to take initiative on assigned tasks and to be detail-oriented
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills and be timely in responding to requests from any partners and stakeholders
- Professional and efficient working in person as well as on virtual platforms
- Team-oriented and proactive in helping and seeking help from others to achieve goals
- Ability to use standard office software (Microsoft Office/Teams) and able to learn new platforms (Box, Monday.com) as applicable
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with FERPA and the protected nature of the research being conducted
