The Daniels School of Business at Purdue University is looking for a dynamic Technology Commercialization Specialist to join our Management Department. Reporting directly to the Director of Purdue’s National Science Foundation’s Innovation Corps (I-Corps), you’ll be at the forefront of identifying and nurturing highly translational research projects across Purdue’s vibrant research community. Your mission: to discover and champion projects with the potential to thrive in the I-Corps and other Purdue commercialization programs. This is a limited-term position through 12/31/2026 with the potential of extension based on funding renewal.

Hybrid work will be considered for this position based on the candidate’s location and interest. Will need to be on campus 2-3 days a week/month.

What We’re Looking For:

Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:

• Master’s Degree in a STEM field 
• 2 years of experience in managing technology development and/or commercialization
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Skills Needed:

• Strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail, self-starter with ability to set priorities
• Fluency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with the different pathways for technology commercialization including licensing, joint ventures, joint development agreements, and startups
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Preferred:

• Ph.D. in a STEM field, highly preferred
• Familiarity with Lean Launchpad methodologies and customer discovery
