Academic Advisor (Veterinary Technology)

Job Summary

The successful candidate will serve as an academic advisor for undergraduate Veterinary Technology students in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Duties include registration/scheduling, student development, academic and career planning, student recruitment, and representation of the college at events.

  • Master's Degree (must have an earned graduate or professional degree in a field relevant to the position)
  • One year of experience with academic advising or related student advising experience
  • Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience (Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Knowledge of academic advising
  • Must be able to collaborate with faculty, staff students and parents
  • Basic skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint



  • Knowledge of programs and majors at Purdue University
