Job Summary

This position will support research activities related to the Eli Lilly and Purdue University 360 Initiative.  Primary responsibilities will include oversight of day-to-day operations of research activities utilizing a project management tool for enhanced operational transparency. Facilitate communication among multiple departments, faculty, research teams, or external constituents.  Plan operational objectives related to data management, coordinate and track project deadlines, coordinate travel, or general administrative tasks.  Prepare sponsor required fiscal and management reports.  Support faculty with tasks such as technical writing support, data use agreement and/or Institutional Review Board submissions and tracking, and scheduling engagements with external partners.  Create systems and methods to facilitate effective processes and procedures.  Ideal candidate must have the ability to adhere to strict confidentiality standards, ability to exercise sound judgment in prioritizing tasks, and self-motivated to set objectives and work independently on large, moderately complex projects.  Strong written and oral communication is a must. 

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Two or more years of relevant work experience
  • Experience engaging with external partners including industry and foundations
  • Experience working with and monitoring contracts, confidentiality agreements, and financial policy and procedures
  • Ability to synthesize complex data from various inputs, align with initiatives key metrics and goals, and distill inco concise reports for communicating with both internal and external senior level stakeholders
  • Self-starter who demonstrates initiative and possesses leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision
  • Responsible for entire projects or processes within area
  • Ability to solve complex problems, typically through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues
  • Demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to be team-focused and customer service oriented as well as copable of coordinating multiple projects
