Account Clerk

Job Summary

The position of Account Clerk will serve as part of a team oriented group (College Level HR Employment Center within the Business Office organization) who provides account clerk duties to the entire College related to Human Resources, Employment, Payroll, Travel, and minor Procurement activities.  As the Account Clerk you will work collaboratively with departmental faculty, staff, students, and other business units or areas. Responsibilities of the Account Clerk include but are not limited to, development of financial reports, the analysis of reports, and to resolve or recommend action on unique problems. The Account Clerk may also assist with budget process, supervise other office staff, and have signature authority.

 

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years account clerk or book keeping experience
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and implement University policies and procedures
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent planning, problem solving, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels
  • Must possess a learning orientation to changing technology impacting business processes
  • Proficiency in software experience: Microsoft Word, Excel, Database and Outlook/Electronic Email

 

Preferred:

  • University-related experience
