Administrative Assistant, Rueff School of Design, Art, and Performance

Job Summary

 Serve as first point of contact for the Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Design, Art and Performance which houses Art & Design, Theatre, Music, Dance, and Galleries.  Provide administrative support for the Associate Head, as well as coordinate the main office's daily administrative duties necessary for the school to run efficiently.  Specific duties and responsibilities include scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars, webpage content updates, and assisting with event planning.  Serve as back up to the building deputy and lead administrative assistant/schedule deputy.


  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Three or more years of administrative experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professionalism in dealing with a diverse population of students, faculty and staff
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to adapt to new and changing technology and software
  • Capable of taking initiative, assuming responsibility and handling confidential information with discretion
