Administrative Assistant

Job Summary

Provide assistance to the Assistant Head of First-Year Engineering, the Director of Communications, and several ENE Faculty. Assist in Course Evaluations, coordinating semester board meetings, and alumni events. Additional duties include travel and reimbursement, copying classwork, maintaining forms/reports that contain confidential information; assist with organizing database entries; materials and visuals for programs; organize meetings; compose, format and proof correspondence and other necessary documents.


  • High school diploma / GED
  • A minimum of three (3) years of secretarial/administrative work experience
  • Proficiency with computer and common business software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
  • Knowledge of electronic calendaring (Outlook), Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Must be a highly motivated individual who will take initiative to solve problems, assume responsibility, and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to handle interruptions, balance multiple and varied tasks, work under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize, handle confidential information with discretion, and work independently
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
