Job Summary
This position counsels and supports prospective first-year and transfer students throughout the college search and selection process, with primary responsibilities in recruitment, outreach, and application review. The role may also take on additional responsibilities in program coordination, strategic initiatives, and special projects as needed.
The successful candidate will be an engaging communicator who builds strong relationships with prospective students and families, high school counselors, community-based organizations, and campus partners. The role requires the ability to think quickly, critically, and independently in a fast-paced environment, using sound judgment and problem-solving skills to make well-reasoned decisions.
A significant portion of the work involves reviewing admission applications, interpreting and contextualizing information in each file, and confidently making and supporting challenging decisions. Given the Office of Admissions’ need to balance multiple priorities, strong time management, multitasking, and self-motivation are essential.
The ideal candidate values and supports a diverse, wide-ranging campus community and appreciates the perspectives of others. This position frequently engages with prospective students and their families both in person and virtually, from one-on-one conversations to large presentations for audiences of 1,000 or more on campus, across the state, and around the country
This position has an expected salary of $50,000 per annum

Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two years or more of experience in customer service.
Skills needed:
- Experience in K-12 or higher education, admissions, counseling, advising, teaching, coaching, event planning or a related field.
- Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds frequently and 40 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work flexible schedule including some evening and weekend hours.
- A valid driver's license.
What is helpful:
- Master's degree
- Experience using the Slate CRM
