Application Developer

Job Summary

As an Application Developer you will design, develop, test, implement and maintain new software applications. You will analyze, modify, and maintain existing software applications. Additionally, you will provide training and ongoing support, including monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of issues as well as develop and execute application test plans and scripts. You may also collaborate with business analysts, client areas, and technical staff to identify and specify requirements for technical solutions. 



  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or business related fields 
  • Two years of experience in information technology including some experience in application development
  • In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to execute all phases of the systems development life cycle, including new development activities as well as maintenance and modification of existing internally developed systems or 3rd party systems. 
  • Ability to interpret and document end-user support and information needs and design, program, test and implement solutions to address those needs.  
  • Solid understanding of web-based application development technologies.
  • Ability to analyze production problems, discover root causes, and implement fixes. 
  • Ability to learn and apply new programming languages and techniques. 
  • Ability to explain technology issues and work progress to both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to assess requirements and estimate effort required to develop solutions.
  • Awareness of best practices to secure data and processes from unauthorized access. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.



  • Experience with .NET, C#, SQL server, HTML, CSS
