Job Summary

The Accreditation & Regulatory Compliance Assistant Director provides institution-wide operational leadership for accreditation and regulatory compliance processes supporting alignment with regional accreditation standards and state regulatory requirements.  

 

This position carries responsibility for coordinating and directing accreditation-related workflows across multiple academic and administrative units. The role manages selected end-to-end compliance processes, monitors implementation of institutional governance procedures, and identifies gaps requiring resolution or escalation to ensure institutional alignment with accreditation expectations.  

 

This position collaborates extensively with departments, colleges, central administrative offices, external regulatory partners, and provides measurable input over institutional practices and procedures beyond its immediate reporting area. The contributes to the development and continuous improvement of compliance systems, goals, planning efforts, and processes that support institutional accreditation readiness and regulatory alignment.

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Six (6) years of experience in regulatory compliance, policy interpretation, governance, or a related field. 
  • Experience managing large complex processes, projects, or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders. 

 

Nice to Have:

  • Master’s degree preferred in Higher Education, Public Policy, Administration, or related field. 
  • Experience interpreting and applying regulatory frameworks (e.g., higher education, athletics compliance, government, or similar). 
  • Experience developing or implementing compliance-related processes or systems. 
  • Experience translating regulatory or policy requirements into operational or technical solutions. 
  • Experience working in complex organizational environments requiring cross-functional coordination. 
  • Experience providing guidance, training, or education on policies or regulations.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position starts at $95,000. The final salary offer will be determined based on various factors, including internal equity, available budget, and relevant experience.
