Assistant Director of Brand Management

Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Brand Management, a Purdue University employee and member of the Purdue University Marketing and Communications team will primarily help Purdue Global become Purdue’s thriving online solution for working adults, preferred by students, employers, and partners. Deeply understanding and becoming top-of-mind, meaningful, and distinct with these target audiences will lead to greater student demand, greater employer demand, greater partner demand, and improved student outcomes, reputation, and performance. 

 

The Assistant Director of Brand Management will help lead the implementation of Purdue Global’s institution-wide marketing efforts, including the creation of a comprehensive and research-based marketing plan to advance Purdue Global’s brand and promote its unique value proposition to its core audiences.

 
This position will collaborate with central marketing leadership peers, external strategic partners, and marketing agencies, as well as the marketing leaders across the campus and portfolio, to inspire and ensure the production and distribution of stellar, on-brand and in-character, customer-centric, insight-informed brand building and marketing.

 

This will be a hybrid (remote/on-campus) position
 


Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, publications, or related field
  • Eight (8) years of experience in digital campaign creation, management, and measurement towards set KPIs 
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
  • Significant curiosity and commitment to deeply understand and serve the working adult education segment
  • A strong passion and discipline for great brand building and strategic marketing
  • The ability to develop and implement and research-based, strategic, and integrated marketing plans
  • Demonstrated high levels of creativity, curiosity, learning agility, effort, and a desire to improve
  • Demonstrated examples of self-awareness and a can-do attitude
  • Ability to inspire a shared vision and influence across all levels and functions of an organization
  • Strong problem solving and project management skills; ability to prioritize work 
  • A strong commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively partnering with, managing, and coaching external vendors and marketing agencies to shared success
