Job Summary

Purdue University is seeking a practitioner or scholar of sports communication, sports public relations, or sports marketing for a faculty position in Indianapolis at the rank of Assistant Professor of Practice.

Principal Duties:

The candidate for this non-tenure-track faculty position will be teaching and mentoring undergraduate students interested in Sports Communication at Purdue’s Indianapolis location. Professional experience in sports communication or sports management is highly desirable, as is experience teaching in higher education. Salary will be commensurate with training and experience.

More About the Position:

As home not only to various major and minor league sports franchises but also the NCAA and other national amateur sports unions, Purdue’s Indianapolis location provides opportunities in sports communication for experiences, guest speakers, and internships. Candidates should consider how they might take advantage of these opportunities in their teaching and engagement, as students increasingly seek employment in this field.
