Job Summary
Assist the Assistant Athletics Director - Sports Medicine and supervising team physicians with the delivery of athletic health care for intercollegiate athletes and athletic teams.
What You'll Be Doing:
- The Athletic Trainer will be a member of the Purdue Sports Medicine Department working under the supervision of the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Performance and Sports Medicine and team physicians to deliver athletic health care for intercollegiate athletes and athletic teams. Additional duties will include but are not limited to:
*Provide service care given of emergency needs of student-athletes.
*Provide immediate Rx rehabilitation for patients.
*Provide supervision of returning student-athlete to athletic activity.
*Provide appropriate documentation of care.
- Supervise athletic training curriculum students as assigned.
- Maintain appropriate medical records for student-athletes health care.
- Execute administrative duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Performance and Sports Medicine.
- Address other related health care problems as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Performance and Sports Medicine and/or supervising team physician.

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or Master’s Degree from CAAHEP/CAATE (instead of CAAHEP) accredited athletic training education program
- Four (4) years’ experience in Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy and/or Athletic Training
Skills needed:
- NATA-BOC certification and ability to obtain Indiana Athletic Training License
- Indiana Physical Therapy License if employee has Physical Therapy Degree
- Must adhere to and comply with Purdue University, Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA applicable rules policies, procedures, rules and regulations
