Job Summary
The Boilermaker Opportunities Program Plus (BOP+ | MEP) Summer Programs provide enriching experiences for 10th-12th grade students to explore STEM topics. These include an immersive math curriculum and engineering design projects intended to broaden their horizons about the possibilities for themselves within a STEM career. These programs are described below:
- (July 5th - 17th, 2026) - MITE: For Rising Seniors (12th grade) interested in exploring Purdue Engineering
- (July 26th - 31st, 2026) - PREFACE: For Rising 10th-11th graders interested in exploring engineering fields and career paths.
The Engineering Instructor would design and implement an engineering design project curriculum during the MITE and PREFACE programs.
The Math Instructor(s) would design and implement a math curriculum designed to engage students from Algebra 2-Precalc in one class and Calculus & beyond in another class during the MITE and PREFACE programs. This could be one instructor for both classes or one instructor for each of the classes.
An individual appointed to this position would be expected to draft rubrics and measure student performance, document behavioral incidents, and provide leadership to the teaching assistants during class time. They would also provide feedback and grades to students and program leadership in a timely and appropriate manner.
