Hourly Pay = $10.25/hr.
Purdue University Well-Being Programs is seeking qualified applicants for the student position of Peer Financial Educator. The position will report to the Assistant Director – Financial Literacy Education. The primary role of the Financial Wellness Educator position is to work collaboratively with other professional staff to assist in the implementation of all areas of financial wellness. The focus of this position is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage their finances and achieve financial independence. Financial Wellness Educators will provide one-on-one financial coaching and present information sessions in the areas of budgeting, saving, credit, debt management and beginning to invest. The goal of this program is to provide students with resources and education to help them to make well-informed financial decisions throughout college, and to assist them in successfully achieving their lifelong financial goals successfully.
Currently Enrolled or Taking:
- CSR 34200 – Personal Finance
- CSR 48100 – Ethics and Compliance in Financial Counseling and Planning
- CSR 48400 - Consumer Investment And Savings Decisions
- CSR 48600 - Retirement Planning And Employee Benefits
Preferred Classes:
- ECON 25100 or ECON 25200 Microeconomics or Macroeconomics
- CS 23500 Introduction to Organizational Computing
