As the Lead Business Assistant, Account Management, you will partner with faculty, staff, students, and business leaders to support the financial and operational success of key research centers and institutes.
In this role, you'll work alongside the Business Manager to provide financial oversight, resource stewardship, and operational support for Discovery Park Centers and Institutes, including CERIAS, ISF, PPRI, and AIDA3. Your expertise will help enable groundbreaking research and discovery while ensuring the responsible management of resources that support Purdue's mission and future-focused initiatives.
Responsibilities Include:
- Account management, report creation, billing, new user set up, scholarship posting, effort reporting, and invoice processing.
- Serve as subject matter expert for specific functional areas.
- Supervise temporary or student staff as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Four years of experience in an office or related business support role.
Skills Needed:
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to explain policies and procedures to staff.
- Ability to handle interruptions while meeting deadlines with accurate results and providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to problem-solve and analyze complex issues.
- Ability to provide coaching and training to others.
