Business Assistant, Lead

The Lead Business Assistant will serve as the Account Assistant in Discovery Park within the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships.  This position is responsible for financial reporting, travel and purchasing with a heavy emphasis on management of large interdisciplinary awards.  Manage grants and contracts funded by all sponsoring agencies within EVPRP.  The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated knowledge of sponsor and University regulation with basic proficiency in all technical and professional skills related to the business office and contract grant management.

 

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years of account clerk, bookkeeping, or related experience         
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Learning orientation to changing technology and business processes
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and implement university policies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be very organized
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Customer service focus
