The Senior Business Assistant will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students within the School of Applied and Creative Computing to support the fiscal management process. Responsibilities include account management, effort reporting and forecasting. Lead daily operations and serve as subject matter expert for account management questions including expenditures, management balance, and account management guidelines. Develop financial reports for financial planning forecasts or analyze and project data for budget reviews. Exercise delegated signature approval for a variety of business transactions following delegation policies. Oversee the processes for preparation, review, and authorization of Personnel Activity Reports (PAR) and serve as the resident expert for PAR related questions. Provide proper interpretation of University, federal and sponsoring agency policies and procedures. Authorize and approve business activities and financial transactions. Manage multiple priorities and work with frequent interruptions

Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- High school diploma / GED
- 4+ years of experience in customer service, as an account clerk, business, or other related field
- Must have experience in providing a high level of customer service

- Demonstrated knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, file management and records, forms and other office procedures and terminology
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills and professionalism in dealing with students, individuals, and business customers
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels
- Strong organizational and time management skills with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
- Motivated individual with ability to efficiently multitask, work under pressure, handle interruptions and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems, analyze information and implement solutions Capable of taking initiative, assuming responsibility and handling confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment
- Must possess a learning orientation to changing technology
- Demonstrated proficiency in software experience: Microsoft Word, Excel, Database and Outlook/Electronic Email
- Must be able to work with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and analyze complex issues
- Ability to provide coaching and training to others
