Job Summary
Purdue University is seeking a driven, proactive CRM Analyst to configure, implement, and support ongoing enhancements to our Technolutions Slate environment within Enrollment Management. This new role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on CRM development and strategic problem-solving. Someone who wants to own meaningful work, improve systems, and see their impact across the student lifecycle.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Enrollment Systems, you’ll play a central role in maintaining Slate’s day-to-day operations and leading enhancements that support financial aid and enrollment initiatives that support students across the lifecycle.
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $64,800 to $75,000. The final salary offer will be determined based on various factors, including internal equity, available budget, and relevant experience.
This position can be hybrid or completely remote.
What You’ll Do :
This role balances operational ownership with strategic CRM development. You’ll be trusted to keep Slate running smoothly while also helping it evolve.
CRM Maintenance & Operations
- Ensure reliable, day-to-day operation of Purdue’s Slate CRM environment.
- Support and maintain Slate portals, queries, reports, rules, workflows, emails, events, forms, dynamic content, and automation.
- Troubleshoot issues, resolve system problems, and support integrations with campus systems (including Banner).
- Audit permissions, roles, and system resources to ensure security, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Support and serve as backup for data imports and related processes.
- Collaborate with leadership on annual cycle preparation, updates, and documentation to ensure smooth transitions year over year.
Strategic CRM Development & Enhancements
- Act as a Slate subject matter expert, partnering with Enrollment Management stakeholders to design and implement new functionality.
- Analyze business needs and translate them into thoughtful Slate configurations and solutions.
- Lead mid-level CRM projects from discovery through implementation, testing, and launch.
- Configure and implement workflows, communications, portals, reader functionality, reporting, and document management.
- Ensure new configurations align with Enrollment Management practices and integrate appropriately with the Student Information System.
- Document system configurations, processes, and decisions to support long-term sustainability and knowledge sharing.
Training, Partnerships & Communication
- Collaborate closely with Financial Aid, the Registrar, and other Enrollment Management offices.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation, tools, and training for partners.
- Serve as the EMSCI Slate liaison, keeping the team informed of vendor updates and internally driven system changes.
- Provide guidance, training, and one-on-one support to help partners make effective use of the CRM.

Qualified candidates will need:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum four(4) years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of admissions operations, cycles, policies and support activities is essential.
- Must have hand - on experience with the CRM Technolutions Slate.
- Experience configuring CRM workflows, automation, communications, and reporting.
Skills required:
- Enjoy building and improving CRM systems—not just maintaining them.
- Like owning projects and seeing them through from idea to implementation.
- Are comfortable navigating ambiguity and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Enjoy collaborating across functional and technical teams.
- Care about documentation, data quality, and long-term system health.
What is Helpful:
- Experience working in higher education Enrollment Management, specifically financial aid.
- Experience integrating Slate with a Student Information System (Banner preferred).
- Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, XML, Liquid Markup, and databases.
- Familiarity with APIs, web services, SFTP processes, and data integrations.
