Program Description
Residential Conduct and Student Advocacy processes promote introspective learning and civic responsibilities while experiencing group living in University Residences. Interwoven with the goals of the residential curriculum, personal behavior not only as it may impact the residential community, but also serves as an indicator of one’s growth as a citizen.
General Description This assistantship is charged with supporting the administrative needs of the Campus Living and Compliance unit of University Residences. Based on the operational calendar, primary support will at first heavily involve receiving, reviewing and processing resident assistant incident reports, which relate to low level policy violations. This graduate assistant must maintain confidentiality and exhibit professional conduct when handling sensitive personal information, must maintain appropriate security of student information, and will be supervised by the Associate Director for Campus Living and Compliance.

• Must employ strict confidentiality to meet CLERY and FERPA standards Responsibilities
• Review and track reports submitted by Residential Life staff, which relate to student behaviors relevant to enforced policies
• Assist in tracking completion of conduct process steps as assigned by conduct hearing officers
• Manage correspondence for first time minor policy violation notifications sent to students • Participate in work team projects and/or committee assignments
Time Commitment This is a 20 hour/week position.
Presence during business hours is required for most aspects of the position and meeting with the supervisor. Some evening/weekend work may be needed. Work time after business hours must be negotiated and approved by supervisor. This position is for the 2026-27 academic year (fall and spring semesters). Must be a current student at Purdue in good standing.
Compensation Range $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Position Summary: Under direct supervision, this position supports the area of Campus Living and Compliance by providing administrative assistance, such as verbal and written communication with internal and external constituents. Support functions as needed will include reviewing conduct reports, updating sensitive records, tracking sanction data, following up on assignment deadlines, and participating in committee assignments.
