Job Summary:
This position will serve as the Main Office receptionist for the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering and provide assistance to walk-ins such as faculty, staff, students, and guests. Will work with the Main Office team along with providing a wide variety of clerical support. The position will be supervised and report to the Operations Coordinator.
Work Schedule:
Applicants must be available to work at least 10 hours per week during regular business hours from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Mondays – Fridays.
Ideally seeking year-round student workers (spring, summer and fall). Applicant's class schedule is considered each semester when scheduling work hours.

Job Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
Under the supervision of the Operations Coordinator, this employee will assist with:
- Covering the Main Office desk
- Maintaining the Main Office kitchenette and supplies
- Greet and/or assist walk-ins with questions
- Schedule meetings and maintain conference room calendars
- Assist with signing out departmental credit cards, building keys, and various equipment
- Proofread documents, data entry and maintain databases
- Assist the Main Office team with a variety of tasks
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
- Must be enrolled in a higher-educational institution and pursing a degree outside of Chemical Engineering
- Exceptional professionalism and courteousness
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic, excellent customer service and enthusiasm
- Willingness to learn new skills and ideas
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions, balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
- Exceptional team player with strong time management
- Must be able to work independently to complete projects and tasks in a timely manner
- Proficient with computers and software such as Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred:
- Previous experience in an office work environment
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent & enrolled in a higher-educational institution
Wage:
$11.00 per hour
