Clinical Pathology Technologist, Associate

Job Summary

 

Are you looking for a change and a unique opportunity in laboratory medicine? Purdue University Veterinary Hospital is currently seeking to hire a Clinical Pathology Technologist. The successful candidate will, under limited supervision, perform various types of routine and emergency diagnostic procedures in the area of chemistry, coagulation, endocrinology, hematology, immunochemistry, urinalysis and fluid analysis. This may include but is not limited to: daily performance and monitoring of instrument maintenance, quality controls, etc. to maintain result precision and accuracy. Demonstrate critical thinking to recognize and react to indicators of inaccuracies and/or malfunctions. May assist in the clinical skills training of Clinical Pathology Lab Student Technologists.
 
Hours are Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 6pm, with no weekends or holidays required. This posting may be filled at multiple levels (S1 or S2). The hiring manager will determine the job level based on the skills, experience, and qualifications of the selected candidate.

 

S1 requirements:

 

  • Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology with completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program
  • ASCP/AMT accredited MLT license

 
S2 requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with the completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program
  • ASCP/AMT accredited MT, MLS, or MLT License
