Clinical Service: Providing clinical service to patients of the PVH (typical time commitment is dependent on Tenure vs Clinical Track and section need); supervising veterinary students, veterinary nursing students, and house officers; and building strong relationships with referring veterinarians. Tenure track faculty are expected to develop an independent research program. Research that complements the interests and strengths of current faculty interests is ideal but can also be tailored to the candidate’s specific background and interests. Clinical, individual and structured mentoring opportunities for research and developing a teaching portfolio are available within the college in addition to mentoring programs at the University level. The PVM is situated on the Purdue campus, allowing for a wide array of research opportunities, such as infectious disease, immunology, and oncology.
