Job Summary

Serve as a custodian in an Intercollegiate Athletic Facility and be responsible for the care, cleaning and minor maintenance of offices; corridors; meeting rooms; stairways; lobbies; display cases; restrooms; weight rooms; locker rooms; practice field; elevator; water fountains, and the grounds surrounding the ICA Complex.

 

Shift/hours: Tuesday - Saturday 3pm - midnight

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Serve as a custodian in an Intercollegiate Athletic Facility and be responsible for the care, cleaning and minor maintenance‎ of: offices; corridors; meeting rooms; stairways; lobbies; display cases; restrooms; weight rooms; locker rooms; ‎practice fields; elevator; ‎water fountains; and the grounds surrounding the ICA Complex.
  • Perform various other duties including driving University vehicle to transport equipment. 
  • Will at times assist with setup and/or tear down for special events, practices, and competitions.
  • May at times be asked to fill in for absent co-workers and/or to work in other ICA facilities. 
  • Will be expected to inform Superintendent or crew chief of the need for attention or repairs to ICA facilities or equipment.

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years’ experience

 

Skills needed:

  • Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions; communicate effectively with supervisors and ‎co-workers
  • Customer service and teamwork skills necessary, ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds is ‎required
  • Valid Indiana drivers license necessary
  • Must adhere to and comply with Purdue University, Big Ten ‎Conference, and the NCAA applicable rules policies, procedures, rules and ‎regulations
