Design and Innovation Studio (DIS) Coordinator

Job Summary

The IN-MaC Design and Innovation Studio (DIS) Coordinator will engage with K-16 educators and students; industry partners; and technology vendors to develop and implement STEM educational programming across Indiana as part of IN-MaC’s larger manufacturing workforce development strategy. The position will work directly with the IN-MaC Director of Workforce Development to plan and execute educational programming; deploy Design and Innovation Studios in academic and industrial spaces; assess progress and effectiveness of new and existing Studios; and engage with technology vendors to augment current and future Studio structures.


Required: 

  • Bachelors degree in technology, engineering, education, or related field
  • Two years working in an educational setting (public school, career and technical center, industry training)
  • Experience in developing metrics, data analysis, and reporting
  • Experience with programming/coding, robotics, or wearable technology
  • Experience using laser cutters, 3D printers, robotics, and a variety of computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to take initiative, assuming responsibility, and handling confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills including proofreading/editing skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to influence, collaborate and build working relationships among a diverse workforce and student population
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with accuracy and attention to detail
  • MS Office proficiency
  • CAD/CAM/CNC software tools
