Director of Libraries IT

Job Summary

The Director of Libraries IT leads a cross-functional, customer service-oriented team of IT professionals to motivate, innovate, and ensure effective and reliable technology solutions and support for library services and teaching, learning, and research of staff and faculty in the Purdue Libraries and School of Information Studies.

 

Required:    

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer or management-related discipline
  • 8 years of experience in customer relations or customer service supporting information technology
  • Progression of responsibilities related to technology
  • Skills: Leadership/supervision; Technology and policy management; Project management; written and verbal communication; Customer service; Problem-solving and prioritization
  • Familiarity with: Windows and UNIX/Linux systems engineering and administration; programming and software development lifecycle; network and computer configuration and security
