Job Summary
The Office of Summer and Winter Programs is an innovative department focused on program initiatives, collaboration, and course management that assists students with college access, success, and affordability.
The Summer Outreach and Program Coordinator serves on a team that is the primary contact for prospective and admitted students and families interested in enrolling in courses during the summer that precedes their first fall semester (e.g., Early Start). The coordinator assists leadership with program or project development, coordination, and implementation of a comprehensive recruitment and yield strategy. Primary responsibilities include outreach, high school visits, and building relationships with students and families, high school partners, community-based organizations, and campus partners.
The coordinator is knowledgeable of additional programs offered by the Office of Summer and Winter programs. The coordinator is an engaging and clear communicator with the ability to provide course instruction, and share knowledge of campus resources and supportive programming, and program coordination.
This position supports the Summer Seminar course (GS12000) and recitation sections.
This role reports to the Assistant Director, Summer Beginners Pathway Programs.
Opportunity to work a hybrid schedule outside of peak season is available after 90 days of employment. Hybrid is 3 days on-campus with 2 days working remotely. Travel is required.

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Two (2) years of experience executing transferable skills.
- A valid US or Canadian Driver’s license
Skills:
- Reliable transportation
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with traditional-age college students
- Be comfortable presenting in groups of various sizes
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evening and weekend hours
- Customer Service
- Be engaging, creative, and professional; possess a positive attitude
- Self-starter with the ability to balance multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Demonstrate experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility with change
- Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Have the capacity to always represent the University and program with tact and diplomacy
Nice to Have:
- Master’s degree in higher education or student affairs
- Excel, Word, Access, Slate, and COGNOS

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is mid- to upper-40s. The final salary offer will be determined based on various factors, including internal equity, available budget, and relevant experience.
