Job Title:  Electronic Shop Supervisor

Job Description: 

What You'll be Doing:

Manage the Electronic and PIC-Telecommunications units within the Operations and Maintenance Department. Supervise Electronic and PIC-Telecommunications staff responsible for maintenance, remodeling, and new construction projects.

Administer electronic work budgets, approve expenditures necessary to complete job assignments, and provide recommendations for wage and salary, supply and expense, and capital equipment budgets.

Consult with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to identify electronic and PIC-Telecommunications project needs, maintenance and repair requirements, and project scheduling. Ensure projects are completed efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, customer service, and safety.

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience
Qualified Candidates Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Building Construction, Supervision, Management or a related technical area
  • 3+ years of demonstrated administrative supervisory experience, preferably in a technical, commercial, or industrial area
  • An equivalent combination of education and required work experience will be considered

 

Skills Needed:

  • Experience in workflow planning, employee coaching and motivation, budget and financial planning, cultural awareness and analytical evaluation skills
  • Applicable experience relative to the position in facilities maintenance or one of the following areas: electronics and telecommunication maintenance and maintenance/inspection
