What You'll be Doing:

This position supports Electronics & Telecommunications operations by scoping, planning, scheduling, and monitoring maintenance work to maximize efficiency and support reliable campus operations.

This role is responsible for inspecting job sites and developing detailed job plans and advance work schedules to accurately estimate labor hours, staffing needs, and materials required for execution. The Maintenance Planner reviews and prioritizes work requests submitted by campus customers to ensure timely and effective completion.

As the primary point of contact for planned maintenance work orders, this position communicates regularly with customers and supervisors to provide updates on job status and scheduling. The role also utilizes SAP Plant Maintenance to create, track, code, and close work orders.

This position requires strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, along with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

 

The typical work schedule for this position is Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience
Qualified Candidates Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Construction Management, Construction Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in electronics, telecommunications, or related mechanical trades
  • Experience with Operations & Maintenance department processes, including knowledge of safety hazards and appropriate precautions related to assigned work
  • Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience (associate's degree and 3 years of experience or high school diploma/GED and 5 years of experience)
  • Previous experience with CMMS software (ideally SAP PM) preferred

 

Skills Needed:

  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to determine equipment problems and appropriate solutions in swiftly developing job plans
  • Ability to communicate technical and analytical information clearly and concisely in written and verbal form and maintain effective working relationships with other personnel including campus customers, craft personnel, vendors, and contractors
  • Ability to utilize common office equipment as well as read, interpret, and apply information from files, drawings, catalogs, reports, and manuals
  • Ability to walk, sit, stoop, squat, climb ladders and stairs, and lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds in weight
  • A valid US or Canadian driver’s license is required
