Job Summary
As an Equipment & Material Mover, Associate, you will:
- Assist with moving various materials common to a University setting.
- To include but not limited to office furniture, laboratory equipment, laser tables, optic tables, appliances, construction materials, shop equipment, supplies, parts as well as event set up and tear down.
- Learn to determine the safest and most effective method of moving.
- Learn to operate specialized equipment for moving.
- Assist various other crafts as needed.

What We Are Looking For
Education & Experience:
- HS diploma/GED and 0-1 years of experience in material handling.
- Experience in operation of material moving equipment, including heavy equipment, such as fork truck, and various hoists desired.
Skills Needed:
- Forklift certification desired (or ability to be trained).
- Minor equipment maintenance experience desired.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects of 50 to 80 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Good verbal communication skills required.
- Steel toe safety shoes required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Computer skills required to be able to access employee personal data.
- Knowledge of campus buildings and locations preferred.
