Job Summary
As the Event and Programming Manager, you will plan, develop, oversee, contribute to, and implement events and programming that increase the visibility of the John Martinson Honors College (JMHC). The activities to be managed include collaboration with multiple stakeholders, and the target audience includes individuals both inside and outside of the college. The Event and Programming Manager will work with and represent JMHC at university events, collaborate with JMHC colleagues, and engage JMHC students to build support for activities and events that elevate the college's profile and develop new and creative approaches to events and functions. You must be able to work independently with limited supervision, exercise judgment to plan and make decisions on event arrangements, and implement moderate to significant improvements to enhance event performance. You will be responsible for managing the budget for each event, approving expenses, and using tools like Qualtrics to track, extract, and analyze event data to evaluate the effectiveness of programming. Due to the nature of the position, some evening and weekend work will be required.

Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Four (4) years of experience in a professional role related to event or program management
- Familiarity with and experience in event and program planning, networking, and interacting with a wide range of constituents
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Adaptable to a changing environment
- Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills
- Capable of collaborating with multiple partners
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to gather and provide appropriate data for event planning and execution

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is 60,000-63,000. The final salary offer will be determined based on various factors, including internal equity, available budget, and relevant experience.
