Job Summary


The Auxiliary Operations Coordinator will serve as a versatile working coordinator across multiple "quick bite" retail dining locations. This position functions as a primary support and stand in for Unit Supervisors, adapting to fluctuating business needs by rotating between locations as needed. The Coordinator will perform moderate food production duties ranging from food preparation and industrial batch cooking to line assembly, ensuring service and product standards are maintained consistently across all units. This role requires high flexibility, including opening/closing duties, operating university vehicles to transport inventory, and working variable schedules (including early mornings, late nights, and weekends). The Coordinator will supervise and coach student staff and full time employees to ensure productivity and safety standards are met.



What We’re Looking For: 

  • HS Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Four (4) years of food prep, baking, and/or production of food for a professional kitchen or related experience.
  • Must possess a valid US Driver’s License. 
  • Ability to adapt to flexible schedules, including weekends, early mornings, and late nights. 
  • Ability to pass the ServSafe Manager examination.  
  • Ability to pass AllerTrain within 3 months of hire  
  • Ability to learn and execute industrial batch recipes and cooking techniques. 
  • Strong communication skills; teaching others through coaching and other means. 
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative, plan, organize, and work as a team. 
  • Dependable, accountable, flexible, and able to correctly delegate authority and responsibility.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions, lift and move up to 60 pounds, climb ladders and stand, walk, reach and stoop extensively. 
  • Knowledge of sanitation requirements. 
  • Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, processing orders and e-mail.

            

What is helpful:

  • Experience with industrial batch cooking and make-line food assembly
  • Previous supervisory experience, particularly with student staff
