Graduate Assistantship – ILS 250: Introduction to GIS
Purdue Libraries and School of Information Studies
One 0.50 FTE graduate teaching assistant will support ILS 250: Introduction to GIS. Responsibilities will include grading, assistance with the laboratory section, classroom management, Brightspace updates, and possibly teaching if the student is interested.
Qualifications
Doctoral student or master’s student in a related area. Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro is required. Experience teaching, mentoring, and working with students preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently, and demonstrated interpersonal skills. Must commit to 20 hours per week for the Fall Semester 2025.
Benefits Eligibility
Compensation for the position will include a monthly stipend, tuition remission, and medical insurance supplement.
Education
Must be a current graduate student at Purdue University in good standing.
